A Note from Rachael-Lea:
I wanted to take some time out to wish all of you an amazing holiday season. What an amazing year I have had. I looked back over the year and realized that within this year the launch of the Broadway Bound Theatre Academy was born and The "All Things Rachael-Lea" seminar series was created. I had a lot of fun this year. Met a lot of wonderful people. Little people and big people :)
The year 2010 is an exciting one with many events and programs planned. Please look out in January for the announcement of "I know this REALLY GREAT Guy" (The Valentines Edition) where singles won't have to spend another Valentines day focusing on being single, but meeting a really great group of people. It will be our best one yet! So far, several couples have been hooked up and have reported back that things are going well. In March, Broadway Bound Theatre Academy opens its doors once again for another amazing March Break Season. Registrations will start in January. Please visit www.broadwayboundacademy.com in January for updates.
But for now, I wanted to thank all of you for your undying support this year. In your own way, you have been a cheerleader, motivation and an inspiration to keep me doing what I do.
Whatever it is you celebrate this holiday season, let it be filled with joy and love.

The holidays always lend themselves to act as a time of reflection. To gather with friends and family and talk and laugh about all of your experiences for the past year. Looking back at 2009, I see a lot of hard work and challenges faced, but also a lot of successes and good times. At the Trey Anthony @One Centre, the writing workshops in the first half of the year were a hit. I met some wonderful and dynamic creative womyn! A lot of people attending a safe, fun place to learn to express themselves on the page. Then, Lyme & Tings was a blast! twenty contestants down to one winner in only five weeks! Tons of laughs and some amazing acts! Then, the grand finale, what we had worked toward all year, the premier of the play Secrets of a Black Boy. This was like nothing you have ever seen. Five Black men expressing themselves on stage. It was a huge success, both for us and for the urban community. But there's no time to dwell, we must move up and on, to bigger and greater things. Let me tell you, the new year is going to bring some more excitement. 'da Kink in my Hair is returning to the stage once again! We will also be offering some exciting new writing programs that will change and heal your life. We have so much planned, though you'll have to wait to hear! Also I'm working on a new initiative which I know will offer a bigger opportunity to keep our Voices heard, and I need to increase my visibility on the web so I'm asking for all of you to take a few minutes to sign up for my blog at
